The story of Yvette's House
Yvette's House is, above all, a story of legacy. A story of deep roots, anchored for over a century in the heart of the village of Le Barroux. More than a hundred years ago, Anaïs's great-grandfather acquired this large Provençal house. At the time, the house was already a place of life, laughter, and work. It quickly became the refuge and the beating heart of the family. Régis was its first owner. Then the house passed to his son Faust, husband of Yvette, the woman who would give it its name and its soul. Later, Régis (who shares the same first name as his grandfather!) — the eldest of their three sons — took over the keys. He renovated the upstairs and built his life there with his wife and their two daughters, Audrey and Anaïs. The ground floor was then renovated for Yvette. It was there that she lived the last twenty years of her life, surrounded by her loved ones, in tune with the Provençal seasons, shared meals, and family visits. In 2021, the house began a new chapter: Anaïs and Vincent took over this place steeped in history, with the desire to preserve its soul while opening it to travelers. Today, La Maison d’Yvette continues to write its story… perhaps soon with you.
